The Interdisciplinary Centre for Social and Language Documentation (CIDLeS) cordially invites scholars working on minority and endangered languages in the Iberian Peninsula to join us at the 1st International Symposium on Endangered languages and language varieties in the Iberian Peninsula: Documentation and revitalization (LAPI 2016), that will take place on the 1st and 2nd of July in Alcanena, Portugal.
LAPI 206 aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum in which scholars can exchange methodologies and experiences of best practice on language documentation and revitalization in the Iberian Peninsula and discuss issues related to language diversity, multilingualism, new speakerness, oral literature, language technologies for lesser-used languages, presence in the digital world, language policy, but also the role of performing arts in revitalization processes.
