EU Erasmus+ Grant awarded to DLDP

On 13th August 2015 the Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE (IT02) officially announced that the Digital Language Diversity Project (DLDP) had been awarded EU funding in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. The DLDP Proposal has faced stiff competition and scored 95.5% to come second out of 15 projects to be awarded funding (there were 136 proposals in total). The three-year project has been selected to make lesser-used languages 'digitally ready', to empower lesser-used language speakers with the knowledge and abilities to create and share content on digital devices and to help software developers provide state-of-the-art services so as to increase the use of lesser-used languages online. The project shall run between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2018.
